Hong Kong trip 2011

As some of you may know, when I go on trips, I let the pictures speak for themselves, unfortunately for this trip, I didn't get to take as many photos as I would've wanted because by the 2nd day, I got this horrible pain in my back and shoulders from all the walking and the weight of my back, so I decided to just leave my camera during the 3rd and 4th days, which is annoying because those were the two days that had the best photo ops! But enjoy these ones anyways! :)

We stayed in Marco Polo by Canton Road (Tsim Sha Tsui area), and this was basically what you'd see the minute you walked out the hotel. If you went the other way, you'd see Prada.

First thing we do when we arrive? LUNCH! This is my dad (with his new tattoo sleeve)

We ate at this small (sort of diner-y) Indian restaurant called Ebeneezer's -- I have to say, best Indian food of my life!

After lunch, we headed off to Sham Shui Po, basically the DIY district of Hong Kong! It was heaven!

Yep, this was like 5-6 LONG blocks full of fabric stores like this - maybe even more

Any guesses what's across the street? :D hehe!

Then we had a snack at this Michelin rated dimsum restaurant by Mongkok (that didn't burn a hole in your pocket! It was actually pretty cheap!). I have no idea what it's called, we just knew where it was located and when we saw the Michelin sticker (and the line outside), we just knew we were in the right place. Haha!

I LOVE that they sell Mochi ice cream in their 7-11!!!
2nd day was for Central, where we at another well-known (but not Michelin rated) Chinese restaurant called Yung Kee. OMG. The food was so good, I almost cried! I now, a little too much, but it was THAT good!

Then back to Kowloon area where I went crazy in the shops along Granville Road. By this time, I didn't have my camera with me anymore because of the back and shoulder pains, plus, I didn't want to seem like such a tourist and not be able to haggle! But I wish I had my camera because Granville is so full of amazing street fashion, it's a little insane!

More mochi!!! (this one had a whole strawberry inside!)
Foie Gras and steak rice at Suzi's Cafe in Ocean Terminal

My dad wanted me to blog about his cool Japanese made steel bracelet that he haggled for from HK$1200 to HK$700! Hahahaha! (That's like from $158 to $92) And mind you, this was in Ocean Terminal, not from a street vendor! Haha!

And that ends my Hong Kong trip! I'll post my haul soon, although I don't really have much because I bought only the things I really wanted (and they were all kinda pricey!)

I LOVE HONG KONG! I SO CANNOT WAIT TO GET BACK! :D
