Orange Is The New Red

At least when it comes to lipsticks. 

Today I bought my first orange lipstick, and let me tell you, I'M IN LOVE!

The one I bought is called So Chaud by MAC, as seen above, and it's a matte that has an intense reddish-orange color.

Now, I'm no beauty expert, but from what I've been seeing all around the runways, I think it's definitely safe to say that orange has taken its place in this season's must have lip color! It's modern and chic in its own way, while still being fun and fresh because it is such a bright color.

It's definitely a little intimidating to try such a bold color, but it's also really fun, and once you've found the perfect shade, it's also really flattering.

According to this article, "Unlike a bold red or plum lip that requires a certain undertone to pull off, makeup artist Charlotte Tilbury says that anyone can wear orange." - SEE!!!

I'm going to be heading off to Vegas on Friday for the Pacquiao fight, and I cannot wait to be able to wear this out in the sun! (It's been sunny in my area, but it's really windy)

So it's still a little safe since it still looks quite red, which is why my next lipstick goal is the more daring Morange by MAC (As you can see I like MAC a lot - but just for their lipsticks)

From the reviews I've read and seen online, the color I've chosen (So Chaud) is a pretty good color for most skin tones, other choices I would suggest are: Lady Danger - MAC; more of a coral-red, and

Vegas Volt - MAC; was about to get this one, this one looked like a creamier and more wearable version of So Chaud. It's also more on the coral side

Also, bellasugar.com and handbag.com both have awesome choices for orange lipstick.
