A Gorgeous Day and Some Good Food

Yesterday was a gorgeous, chilly, but sunny day. It was a pleasant treat considering how cold and overcast its been this whole week. For those living in the States, H&M is still on sale, and turns out that some stores (IE. Santana Row in San Jose) still have a couple of Lanvin x H&M pieces (I think it's because a lot of people panic shopped that day and decided to return a huge pile of merchandise)

Look at the smiley at the center! :>

It's been awhile since I've worn my boyfriend jeans. It's been awhile since I've worn jeans PERIOD. I'm not a big fan of wearing jeans/pants just cause I don't feel that comfortable in them (like when I eat, they get too tight, etc.), but that's why I will forever love boyfriend jeans. Despite the annoying "eaten by rats" look that my sad jeans have, I love them! They're so comfy and they're definitely my go-to pair of jeans.

So for you women out there who want in on the whole casual "borrowed from my boyfriend" look without looking like a guy, play up your jeans with a fun pair of colorful heels like the strappy ones I have on (from Zara), or for a more sophisticated, evening look, pair your (none eaten) boyfriend jeans with some sexy stilettos and a sexy top.

Jennifer Aniston approves this message! (Note: I swear on my future children's eyes, I did NOT copy this outfit. I'm not lazy like that)

I know this is a fashion blog, but let me write about some good food once in awhile. Besides, a la mode doesn't just pertain to fashion (translation: "in style"), it can also translate to "with ice cream" (hence the meaning of what is written at the top of my site)

Aside from scoring some great deals in H&M, my family and I ate dinner at this place called Sino in Santana Row.

Who?

Sino is a restaurant by day, lounge by night, chic Chinese infusion restaurant that has your everyday Chinese cuisine such as won tons and spring rolls, to unusually new (new to me), and interesting dishes such as their Mongolian Cowboy Rib Eye. They're definitely on the more expensive side, but considering how awesomely delicious and big their servings are, I would say it's worth the $38.

For our appetizer, we ordered the "Crab Rangoon", (Cream Cheese, Scallions, Sweet Vinegar Reduction)

"Char Siu Sea Bass"

For the main course, we ordered 2 entrees, and 2 types of rice. One of the rice orders was to share (Emperor's Fried Rice which was devoured before I could get a chance to take a photo of it), and one was just for me.

My rice order, "Sino Seafood Risotto" (Red Crab, Shrimp, Scallop, White Truffle Oil) - it was amazing to say the least

and last but not the least, the "Mongolian Cowboy Rib Eye"

Like I said, it's pretty pricey, but all the rib eye alone fed 3 people and then some. All in all, it was a good day. And it was a good way to end my "weekend" since work has made my weekdays my weekend and vice-versa.
